Lena is co-founder of filu & vet-connect.vet. As a vet, she gained experience in various veterinary practices as well as in management in the pharmaceutical sector. Lena likes to switch off while playing tennis, in nature and in the mountains or on a racing bike and feels really comfortable spending time with her (filu) family.

Zoe has worked in various veterinary practices in Hamburg as well as in an animal shelter – with a particular focus on animal welfare and the treatment of wild, stray, and confiscated animals. Professionally, her focus lies in internal medicine and ultrasound. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and sailing on the Alster during the summer. She currently doesn’t have a pet but plans to welcome a dog into her life again in the future.

Ortrun is not only a passionate veterinarian, but also a specialist veterinarian for small and pet animals and has an additional qualification in the field of ophthalmology (GPcert Ophthal). She enjoys spending time with her family in nature, whether at the lake, hiking, or skiing.

Justus is co-founder of filu and holds the position of COO, where he is responsible for operations, product development, human resources. Growing up with vets in the family and accompanied by his Pointer, he had close contact with veterinary topics long before filu. In his free time, he likes to relax in the mountains and play tennis.

Oliver specialized in surgery as a vet and was able to deepen his skills in various institutions. In his free time, he likes to walk in the woods with his Vizsla dog Rosi.

Franzi worked in a veterinary clinic for several years and specializes in dentistry as a General Practitioner of Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Privately, she loves adventures such as snowboarding, climbing, kite surfing and mountaineering. She shares her home with a red cat named Vitus and a horse named Piet. In her free time, Franzi likes to travel around the world, preferably to exotic destinations.

Christian is CEO and co-founder of filu. He is responsible for Strategy & Expansion, Marketing, Finance & Legal. He was previously an investment manager with a focus on healthcare. In his free time, Christian spends a lot of time in the mountains, whether hiking in summer or skiing or ski tours in winter. He also plays tennis regularly.

Casandra is a specialist veterinarian for small animals and brings many years of experience from a large small animal clinic. Before that, she worked in a mixed practice in Swedish Lapland. She especially enjoys caring for anxious animals, investigating complex internal medicine cases, and treating emergencies. In her free time, she’s passionate about spending time in the mountains or climbing rock walls. She has a particular love for good food and snow.

Nadine brings a wide range of expertise through her veterinary work in clinics and practices. After several years of managing the dermatology department in a veterinary clinic, Nadine is also the perfect contact person for questions related to your four-legged friend's skin and coat. Traveling and mountain excursions recharge her energy.

The well-being of humans and animals is particularly important to Iris. In her free time, she and her daughter lovingly dedicate themselves to taking care of their common horse.

From sales expert to café owner to her current role as marketing associate at filu- Annette is a digital multi-talented and passionate social media manager. She loves pasta & sushi, mindfulness and likes to be creative in her free time. She also has a big heart for people and animals and likes to work for the protection and welfare of animals.

Anna is a vet and is currently undergoing her specialist veterinary training in the field of reptiles externally. At filu, she works in the area of medical support and assistance at CVO. She is a creative mind and likes to write, design and conceptualize. In her free time, she finds energy and balance in nature and doing Pilates.

Anna-Marie originally comes from zoo animal care and falconry. In addition to Low German, she is also proficient in other talents such as baking. However, she is happiest on Denmark's secluded North Sea beach, looking for amber. At home, she has a variety of crawling pets, which she lovingly cares for.

As an animal lover, Natalie has a particular fondness for pets. In her free time, she enjoys show jumping and likes to relax while watching movies. She loves long walks in nature and has a particular passion for South Africa. Natalie shares her home with two charming guinea pigs named Vanilla and Apollo.

Originally trained in equine management, Nadja first worked at filu as a veterinary assistant and is now focused on talent acquisition, particularly in the area of veterinary assistants (TFA). In her free time, she dedicates herself to bodybuilding and enjoys outdoor excursions with her dog Mila.

Sandra is a specialist in internal medicine and previously worked in a large veterinary clinic. Originally from Munich, she likes to spend her free time in nature mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and jogging. Her Australian Shepherd dog Nelly always accompanies her at work.

Rebecca was able to gain experience as a ward vet through an internship at a veterinary clinic, among other things. She then worked in a practice with a focus on dentistry, with a focus on anesthesia. In her free time, Rebecca dedicates herself to her hobbies, including music, traveling to warm countries, bike trips and (alpine) hikes. Her loyal companion, a border collie named Urmel, is always there.

Pascal is a developer at filu and, as an employee from the very beginning, is also happy to help with IT problems. He has a passion for American football and is the proud owner of Anton, a Shetland Sheepdog.

Ludwig is a working student at filu and has completed training as a veterinary specialist in a small animal clinic. He has been studying veterinary medicine at LMU since 2020 and also works there as a trainee in the small animal clinic, with a particular interest in ophthalmology. At home, he takes care of horses, dachshunds, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and bees. In his free time, he plays soccer, cello and loves traveling.

Maya's love for animals is a matter close to her heart. She loves going on trips and enjoying the sun with her dog Kylie. She spent part of her childhood in the countryside, which strongly influenced her connection to nature and animals.

Carina is a working student in human resources at filu and supports the marketing team. She studies business administration with a focus on human resources and has experience in project management and marketing. Growing up in a village near Garmisch, she loves nature activities such as horse riding and mountaineering as well as playing the piano, figure skating or yoga. She is also involved as a godmother for a pot-bellied pig and a blind calf.

Kevin is an experienced software engineer and brings expertise in web development with a focus on front-end and client development. In his free time, he enjoys hobbies such as rugby and gaming. He enjoys most spending time with his pets, American Stafford Mix dog Flora and his two cats, Freddie and Coco.

Jessica previously worked in customer service at a delicatessen store for a long time. At filu, she is now able to combine her passion for service with her love for animals.

Michelle has 6 years of experience in the start-up industry. She is enthusiastic about business development and growth and has a great passion for customer experience, design and visual merchandising. Another highlight in her life is her Havanese named Anton, who is now part of the filu Office Dogs.

Leonhard grew up in the Olympic Village in Munich and completed his TFA training in a veterinary clinic south of Munich. He enjoys going on bike rides in and around Munich. However, he is particularly happy in the Austrian mountains, at the 800-year-old family hut.

Florentin comes from the Spreewald, where she grew up with farm animals, dogs, cats and chickens. She is studying veterinary medicine and is particularly interested in gynecology, internal medicine and surgery. Florentin was able to gain initial practical experience, particularly in the area of pigs and cattle. In her free time, she is a big fan of hiking and nature, she loves the mountains and likes to go jogging.

Sophia has already worked in emergency services at two Munich veterinary clinics. Her heart beats primarily for surgery. In her free time, she spends a lot of time with her dog Ronja in the forest and on the Isar. Her hobbies include horse riding, club activities and meetings with friends. Her family is accompanied by cat Mia.

Melanie successfully runs her own veterinary practice near Lake Chiemsee and has many years of extensive expertise in veterinary medicine. In her free time, she likes riding and spending time with her three dogs.

Carolin completed her TFA training in a horse and small animal clinic in the Black Forest. She has been studying veterinary medicine since 2019 and is particularly interested in internal medicine and behavioral medicine. Her family includes two cats: Karlchen, whom she raised with a bottle, and Hector, an animal protection cat. In her free time, she likes to practice clicker training with her cats.

Paula is a working student at filu and has completed training as a veterinary assistant. She is studying special education at LMU. She shares her home with her tomcat Benni. In her free time, she enjoys horse riding, hiking and jogging.

Julia has completed training as a veterinary assistant and has been studying veterinary medicine since 2021. She shares her home with her 3-year-old tomcat Charly. In her free time, she enjoys hobbies such as ju jutsu, baking, cooking, reading and photography.

Laura was surrounded by animals since childhood: from parrots to hamsters to family cats, Daisy and Uschi. Originally from the hotel industry, she spent four years traveling around the world on a cruise ship. Laura likes to relax in her cozy hammock chair to sink into a good book or explore nature with her dog Akali — she also runs her own book blog.

Leonie originally comes from the economic sector and is currently in her 5th semester studying veterinary medicine. She is particularly interested in internal medicine. To switch off and take breaks, she likes to go to nature and do sports as a balance. She shares her home (and sometimes the office) with her dog Kalle.

Jovita already has start-up experience and works in accounting at filu. She is a trained paralegal with additional training in payroll and balance sheet accounting. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, sports, traveling and attending concerts. She took in a tomcat named “Pauli” during the corona crisis — a family dog may follow soon.

Aline was a specialist in the field of physiotherapy and is a lecturer for continuing education to become a health care specialist. At filu, she manages everything related to our clinic. To get energy, she swings onto her horse's back.

Julie is a proud cat mom to Gabriel, a Norwegian Forest Cat, and Lilith, a European Shorthair—both blind—who sparked her passion for cats. In addition to her work at filu, where she ensures the smooth operation of daily practice routines, she is training to become a feline behavior consultant and participates in a variety of topic-related webinars. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, and exploring the history of language.

Sophia completed her training in Leipzig and worked there, among other things, at an animal shelter and in a wildlife station. In addition to station work in the laboratory, her focus is on registration and communication. In her free time, she is interested in faith and the Bible, the ancient world and history. She enjoys nature, reading and playing video games. Sophia grew up with Labradors and has a tomcat named Friedel.

Tonia completed her training in a veterinary clinic. Before training, she spent four months in South and Central America, worked at an animal shelter in Costa Rica and lived there in a tree house in the jungle. She originally comes from Lake Constance and has been an animal enthusiast since childhood. She is interested in dog psychology and training, enjoys cooking, enjoying nature and practicing yoga in her spare time.

Manuel is product lead at filu and responsible for creating great digital experiences for pet parents and filu employees. He's a jack of all trades, curious, and loves to learn everything there is to know about the most random topics. He enjoys nature and spending time outside, for example training his Labrador.

Maly completed her TFA training in a large and small animal practice in 2022. In addition, she is currently training as a dog trainer so that she can apply these skills to filu later on. In her free time, she does agility with her border collie dog Flame and takes part in tournaments. She also likes hiking with her dog and friends and likes to draw in her free time.

Even as a small child, Chiara always wanted to become a vet. However, after graduating from high school, she initially decided to study as a teacher. She quickly realized that she wasn't happy in this role and decided to train in veterinary medicine, which eventually led her to filu. In her free time, Chiara likes to spend time with her dog and horses. She is passionate about eventing and hunting riding and has even bred foals. Far away from animals, she loves traveling and learning new languages.

Since childhood, Kerstin has always had animals around her and grew up with them. In the past, she always wanted to be a marine biologist until she realized that swimming with dolphins wasn't just about swimming with dolphins. After completing her training as a TFA, especially in surgery, she worked as an all-rounder in a cat practice. In her free time, Kerstin is very fond of sports and loves going to the gym, hiking and jogging. To switch off, she likes to spend time in nature. Although she has two cats, she left them with her parents so that they can play in the garden.

Mareike is originally from Frankfurt, studied in Gießen, and spent the past five years working at a practice in Tyrol. Her specialties are surgery and dental treatments. In her free time, Mareike loves being outdoors: whether hiking, mountaineering, or skiing – the mountains are her second home. Her two cats, Bu and Miezi, are her constant companions and bring her joy outside of work as well. She also enjoys jogging, practicing yoga, and taking walks in nature.

Laura completed her training in a larger group practice, where she met cat Lutz, whom she raised with the bottle, and later followed cat Käthe from the animal shelter. She gained 2.5 years of experience in a clinic with a focus on emergency and night services, ward and trainee management. Laura is known for her great empathy and likes to spend her free time with her horse Rüdiger, hiking and on the North Sea.

Alexandra completed her training in a group practice and then worked for 7 years in a larger veterinary clinic, where she specialized in night and emergency services as well as treatment and registration. Her Birman cat Monty, whom she took over from the hospital two years ago, is now healthy. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, spending time in nature, reading a lot and traveling to different countries to discover new places. She loves eating out and trying out new restaurants. She has always been a soccer fan and her favorite club is Bayern Munich.

Emanoela has already gained experience in a veterinary clinic. In her free time, she likes to be out in nature with her Yorkshire terrier dog Aki and likes to travel to her home country Bulgaria.

Nina has gained extensive experience in internal medicine as a veterinarian in clinics & practices and is particularly interested in dermatology. She is also a chiropractor for horses & dogs, which she also likes to use on her own dog Nacho.

Valentin began his professional career in a surgical practice before joining filu through an internship and now working here as an apprentice. After completing his training, he plans to study veterinary medicine. In his free time, he is a passionate sportsman, likes to play soccer and skiing in winter. He enjoys spending time in nature and occasionally looks after dogs from the neighborhood.

Robin completed her training at a Cologne Veterinary Clinic, where she specializes in dog care and emergency services. She has worked as a TFA at Filu in Düsseldorf since July 2024. She spends her free time with her three favorite animals — dogs, rats and ponies — and attaches great importance to animal welfare and animal welfare. She likes to gamble and binge to relax.

Laura completed her training as a veterinary assistant in Düsseldorf. In addition to her passion for working at filu in the preventive care and surgery units, she lovingly takes care of her two cats, Enzo and Mailo, as well as her Labrador, Rio. As a half-Spanish woman, she is particularly drawn to the beaches of Andalusia. In her free time, she works out at the gym, explores new restaurants and places, walks with Rio and Grows Fruit and Vegetables at her balcony.

Rosanna studies business psychology with a focus on personnel psychology as well as market, advertising and media psychology. In her free time, she enjoys nature with her horse Fidell and her dog Anton. She likes to travel and is active in outdoor sports, being it hiking, climbing, skiing or kayaking. Rosanna is also very passionate about art and loves painting, drawing and photography.

Denise is a tax specialist and accountant with experience in tax firms, most recently specialized in accounting and annual financial statements for startups. In addition to her husband and children, her family includes her dogs Emma and Trudi, four cats (Fritz, Nala, Marie and Cookie) and three axolotls. In her free time, Denise loves walking, cycling, yoga, books, concerts and traveling — always with Emma and Trudi by her side, of course.

Stefanie graduated in Munich in 2019 and then worked in practice and clinic for a good 3.5 years. Before joining filu, she worked at a veterinary practice in the Caribbean to help with a volunteer project. In her free time, Stefanie loves traveling and experiencing new adventures, reading a lot and exploring the hidden corners of Munich.

Kateryna is originally from Ukraine and worked there in call centers and as an accountant, where she was the first point of contact for customers. Her tomcat Mursih is the main person in the family. Kateryna loves long walks with her son and enjoys spending her free time at the gym, swimming, and traveling.

Laura brings practical experience from veterinary clinics and practices to Filu. Her hobbies include hiking and salsa dancing. She also grew up with cats.

Hatem is a passionate product designer with four years of experience, including one year in the health-tech sector. His goal is to create the best user experience through creative storytelling, user research and appealing designs and to make users' lives noticeably easier. In his free time, he expresses his creativity through photography, drawing and video games and likes to build with Lego. He doesn't have any pets, but dogsitting is a lot of fun for him!

Robert's veterinary career began with training as a veterinary assistant (TFA). During his studies, he also worked with horses and cattle, but his true passion lies with dogs and cats. As a veterinarian, he gained several years of experience at a university and an animal clinic, completed an internship, and began his specialization as a board-certified small animal veterinarian. In his free time, Robert finds balance by playing basketball and frequently exploring the Rhine or the forest.

Anja grew up on a small Baltic Sea island, surrounded by nature and animals. After six years as owner of a vegan café in Hamburg, she is now fully dedicated to customer service at filu. As a freelance animal communicator, Anja's passion is also to give animals a voice. She loves yoga and Pilates and likes to spend her free time with her dog Maya at the seaside or on hikes in the mountains.

Beatrice grew up in Lower Saxony and supports filu in service — as a trained cat psychologist, she focuses in particular on the well-being of cats in the sense of a cat-friendly practice. In her free time, she likes to travel with her cat Lazy and her partner, travel in a motorhome through Finland's endless nature or relax comfortably on the sofa playing series and video games.

Daline is a true animal lover and lives in the countryside with her partner, two cats, a dog, and soon a little puppy. In her free time, she enjoys reading and immersing herself in the world of anime. She especially appreciates the peaceful nature around the village during long walks. She values the little things in life and finds balance between cozy moments at home and being active outdoors.

Tilda has already completed an apprenticeship as a tourism clerk. But now she finally wants to pursue her true passion and is training as a veterinary assistant in Hamburg-Winterhude. With her adopted Labrador dog Elli, Tilda starts hikes or trails — preferably in the mountains. The rest of the time she is passionate about playing basketball.

Linda attaches great importance to patients and owners leaving the practice satisfied and happy to return. In her free time, she hikes in the mountains with her mixed-breed dog Carlotta and trains for Canicross with her. You can also meet them while stand-up paddling or having a coffee with friends. As a true Munich child, she feels most comfortable on the outskirts of town or in the countryside, not too far away from family and friends.

Katrin is particularly passionate about surgery in her professional life. In her free time, she enjoys staying active—whether it's cycling on her racing bike, practicing yoga, or swimming. She also loves traveling in her camper van, whether to the mountains or the sea.

Clara always wanted to work in which she could help animals and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine and the profession of TFA in 2020 at a veterinary clinic in Duisburg. She has gained valuable experience, particularly in the area of anesthesia, and has found pleasure in applying various types of bandages every day. Growing up with dogs, she loves her two Hovawart hybrids more than anything else. In her free time, she has been playing hockey since she was a child.

Julia brings experience from two different veterinary clinics to filu. In her free time, she enjoys walks with her dog Ella. She also loves the mountains and everything that goes with them, such as skiing and hiking.

Milana brings a wealth of experience from her own startup journey, during which she built a tech startup focused on organizing family and friends as well as gift discovery. Previously, she worked in politics, strategic communications, and business development. She’s now excited to continue pursuing her passion for startups with Filu. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going on day trips and short getaways, and embracing the mountains along with everything related to skiing, tennis, and chess.

Fabian comes from the upscale hotel and catering industry and has worked as a bartender and sommelier. During his studies and during the pandemic, he discovered his interest in marketing, with a focus on search engine marketing. In his free time, he devotes himself to everything related to pleasure — cooking, good food, wine and traveling. His loyal companion is Jack Russell mongrel Carlos, 10 years old.

Laura, born and raised in Cologne, initially began her training at an equine clinic before transitioning to small animal care. Since completing her training, she has gained over 1.5 years of experience in orthopedics and has passionately specialized in her favorite fields: surgery and laboratory work. In her private life, much revolves around her two dogs, with whom she participates in dog sports in the IGP sector. Additionally, she shares her passion for cars with just as much energy and dedication!

Silke is originally from East Frisia and enjoys reliving childhood memories during visits to her hometown. In her free time, she often plays (table) tennis and enjoys photography, meeting up with friends, going for walks with their dogs, or simply relaxing on the sofa. Thanks to her wonderful circle of friends, she also feels right at home in Hamburg.

Marian studied veterinary medicine in Sofia, where he also worked in two clinics. He has been living in Düsseldorf since 2012 and has worked in various practices. His main areas of expertise are ophthalmology, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and traveling—always with his camera in tow, as photography is his great passion.

Amelie is originally from Swabia and completed her training as a veterinary assistant (TFA) in a small animal practice in 2024. Before that, she worked as an orchestral musician before turning her passion for animals into a profession. She has a particular interest in surgery and pharmacy. Her favorite tasks include treating animals, assisting in surgeries, and managing the pharmacy. She also cares deeply about advising pet owners. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, making music, going to the gym, and spending time with her one-eyed cat, Nero.

Laura holds a degree in childhood education and spent 3.5 years working with children with special needs at a school. In the future, she plans to train as a dog trainer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring nature with her dog Casper, doing mantrailing, and staying active with regular exercise.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Adrian brings his fullstack expertise to the filu team. When he’s not writing code, he channels his creativity through gaming and photography. His wide range of interests spans music, film, science, and nature conservation. At home, he’s kept on his toes by his three cats – Elli, Loui, and Marta.

Anna-Lena is a qualified veterinary assistant with an additional certification as a hygiene officer and has been studying veterinary medicine since 2024. At filu, she works as a working student and is especially passionate about emergency medicine, surgical assistance, and customer interaction. In her free time, she enjoys forest walks with her mixed-breed dog Bella or relaxing at home with her cat Simba.

Lea grew up in Hamburg and fulfilled her dream of owning a dog with her Cane Corso male, Vito. She enjoys spending time with Vito during dog training and loves being outdoors in nature. In the summer, she often visits a campsite on the Baltic Sea, soaking up the sun to the fullest.

Lena ist in Hamburg aufgewachsen und lebt am grünen Stadtrand der Hafenstadt. Nach ihrer Ausbildung in einer Pferde- und Kleintierpraxis spezialisierte sie sich in einer Kleintierpraxis auf den OP-Bereich. Ihre Freizeit verbringt sie am liebsten mit ihrer Labradorhündin Raya bei Spaziergängen an der Elbe oder im Wald – oder entspannt zusammen auf der Couch mit einer guten Serie.

Adina is a veterinary medicine student in her 7th semester and works as a medical working student at filu. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, exploring creative hobbies like sewing and drawing, or going backpacking when time permits. She has not yet decided on a specific field in veterinary medicine but is particularly interested in small animals and exotic species

Andrea brings a diverse background in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry as a trained medical assistant and has completed further training as a psychological systemic coach and feel-good manager. Her Bichon Frisé dog, Timba, has been by her side for 8 years and has introduced her to the world of animal communication. In her free time, she meditates, practices QiGong, reads, and enjoys nature with Timba. She is particularly passionate about topics like spirituality and personal development.

Julia is a veterinary medicine student with a special interest in dentistry. Before her studies, she gained experience at a wildlife rescue center. She is a lover of Japan and a big fan of cats, especially black cats, and lives with her three cats: Neko, Kuro, and Minou. Julia enjoys nature, loves going for walks or hikes, and enjoys spending time with other people.

Jannes is the Swiss Army knife of organizational development and strengthens filu as Operational Excellence Lead. A true East Frisian at heart, he has a passion for black tea, Kluntje (rock sugar), and licorice. For him, there’s no such thing as bad weather – only the wrong clothing – which is why he loves being out and about in any conditions, whether on horseback or on his surfboard.

Charlotte, who switched to veterinary medicine after a short trip to human medicine, lives her job as a vet with great passion. She has gained both clinical and practical experience and focuses on acupuncture and ultrasound. Charlotte loves learning languages and traveling to other countries to broaden her horizons. In her free time, she enjoys precious moments with her family and is a staunch lover of both cats and dogs.

Melina has been studying veterinary medicine at LMU since 2019 and has completed internships primarily in small animal medicine, including placements in Australia and at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding or ski touring in the winter, traveling, kitesurfing, strength training, and jogging. She shares her home with her 17-year-old cat, Sunny.

Daniel is originally from Cologne, spent six years working as a horse groom, and is now a trained veterinary assistant (TFA). He lives with a dog and a cat and has a special interest in reptiles – both as patients and potentially as future pets. His main focus is on laboratory work, but he remains open to all areas of the profession. Empathy and a good sense of humor define his approach to working with both people and animals.

Luisa is a dedicated veterinary assistant (TFA) with experience in clinics, small animal centers, and private practices. Her passion for animals shines through both professionally and personally – she lives with two cats and actively supports animal welfare as a foster caregiver. Outside of work, she’s a passionate bodybuilder, a hobby that reflects her discipline and commitment in her professional life as well. Luisa is continuously developing her skills and enjoys taking on new challenges.

Daniel aims to build trust between animals, owners, and veterinarians to provide the best possible care for pets. During his studies, he gained practical experience in small animal practices as well as through an internship at a wildlife rescue center in Guatemala. Professionally, he is open to new perspectives, with a particular interest in surgery and internal medicine. In his free time, he practices yoga and meditation, plays the piano and guitar, enjoys spending time in nature, bouldering, and going to concerts.

Felicia worked as a student assistant during her studies in Leipzig and Zurich and later gained further clinical experience in various animal welfare projects abroad. After completing her studies, she worked in a large veterinary clinic and was able to successfully complete her continuing education as a specialist veterinarian for small animals in 2023. Since August, she has also been completing GPCert Neurology training. Her professional focus is on emergency medicine, surgery and neurology. Doris, a native of Düsseldorf, studied veterinary medicine in Gießen and previously worked in a mixed practice as well as in pathology at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover. For the past 15 years, she has focused on human health, helping companies make essential medications available to patients. In her free time, she loves dancing, unwinds with yoga alongside her cat Luise, or explores the world with her husband and their old camper van.

Stefan ist gelernter Bürokaufmann und ausgebildeter Hundetrainer. Er war mehrere Jahre selbstständig in der Hundebetreuung und arbeitete 3,5 Jahre in einer Tierklinik auf Station und in der Ambulanz. In seiner Freizeit ist er leidenschaftlicher 1860-München-Fan und zockt gerne. Aktuell hat er keine Haustiere mehr, nachdem er seinen 14-jährigen Beagle Charlie letztes Jahr schweren Herzens verabschieden musste- Charlie war Stefans große Motivation für die Arbeit mit Tieren und er wird ihn immer in guter Erinnerung behalten.

Josephine completed her training as a veterinary assistant (TFA) in 2023 at a small animal practice in Nuremberg and then worked at an animal clinic in Cologne. At filu, her focus areas include treatments, emergency care, and inpatient care. She plans to pursue further training in physiotherapy and naturopathy for dogs and cats. In her personal life, she enjoys staying active, loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and is always accompanied by her cat Loca.

Nathalie is a trained medical assistant (MFA) and brings valuable experience from human medicine. She has already worked as a practice manager and in the management of a large dental clinic. Having grown up with cats, she is a true animal lover – her own cat, Sydney, is named after her second home, Australia, where she lived for a year. Her professional journey has also taken her to London and Bulgaria. In her free time, she is passionate about traveling, discovering new places and cultures, and spending time with her friends from around the world.

Marco spent much of his childhood with his grandparents – surrounded by dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and around 700 racing pigeons, which shaped his deep love for animals to this day. He has been working in customer service for 20 years and feels most at home in that environment. At filu, he now brings together his two greatest passions: animals and service.

Yannik is part of the filu engineering team as a fullstack developer with a focus on frontend development. He lives in Hanover with his two Cocker Spaniels, Karl and Rudi. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, tinkering with smart home devices and his home server. Yannik is also an avid reader, especially of classics – he's a member of two book clubs.

Martyna is a physiotherapist and osteopath for dogs, cats and horses, although cattle, koi carp and other animals occasionally come to her mobile practice in and around Hamburg. She is also a lecturer in physiotherapy and osteotherapy and is a trained human occupational therapist. In her free time, she likes to ride horses or enjoy forest and beach walks with her Jack Russell Terrier Nigel. At filu she works as a practice manager.

Lukas has a strong passion for Linux, container technologies, and enthusiastically self-hosts open-source projects in his free time. He enjoys traveling, especially to the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. In addition to his love for technology, he’s interested in dioramas, nature, and architecture – particularly Brutalism – and enjoys expressing these interests through drawing.

Fanny was born in the Pfalz (Palatinate) and grew up in a small village surrounded by nature—and limited bus connections. Through her training as an animal-assisted therapist, she found her way from speech therapy to veterinary medicine. Today, as a practice manager, she ensures that everyday operations run as smoothly as possible for both humans and animals. Her experience in emergency services helps her stay calm and keep an overview, even in hectic moments. Her rescue dog Topolino accompanies her through life whenever possible. She’s currently converting her camper van, Ingo, for upcoming adventures.

Emmy completed her studies in 2024 and already has experience from a veterinary clinic, a feed company and working student work at filu. At filu, she is now starting her professional career as a vet and would like to specialize in nutrition in the future. In her free time, she surfs on Munich Eisbach, practices yoga and goes for a walk with her Labrador pensioner Lilly.

Marie is originally from Cologne and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. She gained practical experience at a small animal practice in Düsseldorf and has been working as a veterinarian at Filu since April 2025. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time in nature – especially hiking.

Luca is from Hamburg and lives in St. Pauli. Even without having a pet of her own, she found her way into veterinary medicine – with a particular interest in surgery. In her free time, she loves traveling in her camper van or relaxing in a hammock, whether in the mountains or by the sea.

Heute gestaltet sie das Employer Branding bei filu mit und bringt ihre Erfahrung aus Marketing und Studium ein. Mit kreativen Einblicken aus dem Praxisalltag stärkt sie die Verbindung zur filu Community – immer dem Leitsatz „Happy Vets, Happy Pets“ folgend und mit dem Ziel, moderne, wertschätzende Arbeitswelten zu schaffen. In ihrer Freizeit ist sie gerne auf dem Rücken von Pferden, mit dem Rucksack in der Ferne oder in den Bergen unterwegs.

Verena worked as a TFA in a veterinary clinic for many years and is our “laboratory star” at filu. In her free time, she regularly travels by bus to explore the world.

Merlin comes from sunny Karlsruhe and completed his bachelor's degree at KIT before switching to TUM for his master's degree. He has had quite a few animal housemates - from geckos and tortoises to his faithful Goldendoodle, who has been with him for 14 years. His great passion is cycling. Merlin is particularly enthusiastic about the startup world - he has already worked as a Founder Associate in a startup - at filu he is a working student in Venture Development with a lot of curiosity and drive.

Before starting her veterinary studies, Ann-Sophie worked in human medicine as a medical technologist for radiology (MTR). She has already gained experience in a small animal center – particularly in CT/MRI diagnostics, which aligns perfectly with her previous training. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, discovering new cafés, and traveling to distant countries to explore nature and different cultures.

Lena is co-founder of filu & vet-connect.vet. As a vet, she gained experience in various veterinary practices as well as in management in the pharmaceutical sector. Lena likes to switch off while playing tennis, in nature and in the mountains or on a racing bike and feels really comfortable spending time with her (filu) family.

Zoe has worked in various veterinary practices in Hamburg as well as in an animal shelter – with a particular focus on animal welfare and the treatment of wild, stray, and confiscated animals. Professionally, her focus lies in internal medicine and ultrasound. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and sailing on the Alster during the summer. She currently doesn’t have a pet but plans to welcome a dog into her life again in the future.

Ortrun is not only a passionate veterinarian, but also a specialist veterinarian for small and pet animals and has an additional qualification in the field of ophthalmology (GPcert Ophthal). She enjoys spending time with her family in nature, whether at the lake, hiking, or skiing.

Justus is co-founder of filu and holds the position of COO, where he is responsible for operations, product development, human resources. Growing up with vets in the family and accompanied by his Pointer, he had close contact with veterinary topics long before filu. In his free time, he likes to relax in the mountains and play tennis.

Oliver specialized in surgery as a vet and was able to deepen his skills in various institutions. In his free time, he likes to walk in the woods with his Vizsla dog Rosi.

Franzi worked in a veterinary clinic for several years and specializes in dentistry as a General Practitioner of Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Privately, she loves adventures such as snowboarding, climbing, kite surfing and mountaineering. She shares her home with a red cat named Vitus and a horse named Piet. In her free time, Franzi likes to travel around the world, preferably to exotic destinations.

Christian is CEO and co-founder of filu. He is responsible for Strategy & Expansion, Marketing, Finance & Legal. He was previously an investment manager with a focus on healthcare. In his free time, Christian spends a lot of time in the mountains, whether hiking in summer or skiing or ski tours in winter. He also plays tennis regularly.

Casandra is a specialist veterinarian for small animals and brings many years of experience from a large small animal clinic. Before that, she worked in a mixed practice in Swedish Lapland. She especially enjoys caring for anxious animals, investigating complex internal medicine cases, and treating emergencies. In her free time, she’s passionate about spending time in the mountains or climbing rock walls. She has a particular love for good food and snow.

Nadine brings a wide range of expertise through her veterinary work in clinics and practices. After several years of managing the dermatology department in a veterinary clinic, Nadine is also the perfect contact person for questions related to your four-legged friend's skin and coat. Traveling and mountain excursions recharge her energy.

The well-being of humans and animals is particularly important to Iris. In her free time, she and her daughter lovingly dedicate themselves to taking care of their common horse.

From sales expert to café owner to her current role as marketing associate at filu- Annette is a digital multi-talented and passionate social media manager. She loves pasta & sushi, mindfulness and likes to be creative in her free time. She also has a big heart for people and animals and likes to work for the protection and welfare of animals.

Anna is a vet and is currently undergoing her specialist veterinary training in the field of reptiles externally. At filu, she works in the area of medical support and assistance at CVO. She is a creative mind and likes to write, design and conceptualize. In her free time, she finds energy and balance in nature and doing Pilates.

Anna-Marie originally comes from zoo animal care and falconry. In addition to Low German, she is also proficient in other talents such as baking. However, she is happiest on Denmark's secluded North Sea beach, looking for amber. At home, she has a variety of crawling pets, which she lovingly cares for.

As an animal lover, Natalie has a particular fondness for pets. In her free time, she enjoys show jumping and likes to relax while watching movies. She loves long walks in nature and has a particular passion for South Africa. Natalie shares her home with two charming guinea pigs named Vanilla and Apollo.

Originally trained in equine management, Nadja first worked at filu as a veterinary assistant and is now focused on talent acquisition, particularly in the area of veterinary assistants (TFA). In her free time, she dedicates herself to bodybuilding and enjoys outdoor excursions with her dog Mila.

Sandra is a specialist in internal medicine and previously worked in a large veterinary clinic. Originally from Munich, she likes to spend her free time in nature mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and jogging. Her Australian Shepherd dog Nelly always accompanies her at work.

Rebecca was able to gain experience as a ward vet through an internship at a veterinary clinic, among other things. She then worked in a practice with a focus on dentistry, with a focus on anesthesia. In her free time, Rebecca dedicates herself to her hobbies, including music, traveling to warm countries, bike trips and (alpine) hikes. Her loyal companion, a border collie named Urmel, is always there.

Ludwig is a working student at filu and has completed training as a veterinary specialist in a small animal clinic. Maya's love for animals is a matter close to her heart. She loves going on trips and enjoying the sun with her dog Kylie. She spent part of her childhood in the countryside, which strongly influenced her connection to nature and animals.

Carina is a working student in human resources at filu and supports the marketing team. She studies business administration with a focus on human resources and has experience in project management and marketing. Growing up in a village near Garmisch, she loves nature activities such as horse riding and mountaineering as well as playing the piano, figure skating or yoga. She is also involved as a godmother for a pot-bellied pig and a blind calf.

Kevin is an experienced software engineer and brings expertise in web development with a focus on front-end and client development. In his free time, he enjoys hobbies such as rugby and gaming. He enjoys most spending time with his pets, American Stafford Mix dog Flora and his two cats, Freddie and Coco.

Jessica previously worked in customer service at a delicatessen store for a long time. At filu, she is now able to combine her passion for service with her love for animals.

Michelle has 6 years of experience in the start-up industry. She is enthusiastic about business development and growth and has a great passion for customer experience, design and visual merchandising. Another highlight in her life is her Havanese named Anton, who is now part of the filu Office Dogs.

Leonhard grew up in the Olympic Village in Munich and completed his TFA training in a veterinary clinic south of Munich. He enjoys going on bike rides in and around Munich. However, he is particularly happy in the Austrian mountains, at the 800-year-old family hut.

Florentin comes from the Spreewald, where she grew up with farm animals, dogs, cats and chickens. She is studying veterinary medicine and is particularly interested in gynecology, internal medicine and surgery. Florentin was able to gain initial practical experience, particularly in the area of pigs and cattle. In her free time, she is a big fan of hiking and nature, she loves the mountains and likes to go jogging.

Sophia has already worked in emergency services at two Munich veterinary clinics. Her heart beats primarily for surgery. In her free time, she spends a lot of time with her dog Ronja in the forest and on the Isar. Her hobbies include horse riding, club activities and meetings with friends. Her family is accompanied by cat Mia.

Melanie successfully runs her own veterinary practice near Lake Chiemsee and has many years of extensive expertise in veterinary medicine. In her free time, she likes riding and spending time with her three dogs.

Carolin completed her TFA training in a horse and small animal clinic in the Black Forest. Laura was surrounded by animals since childhood: from parrots to hamsters to family cats, Daisy and Uschi. Originally from the hotel industry, she spent four years traveling around the world on a cruise ship. Laura likes to relax in her cozy hammock chair to sink into a good book or explore nature with her dog Akali — she also runs her own book blog.

Leonie originally comes from the economic sector and is currently in her 5th semester studying veterinary medicine. She is particularly interested in internal medicine. To switch off and take breaks, she likes to go to nature and do sports as a balance. She shares her home (and sometimes the office) with her dog Kalle.

Jovita already has start-up experience and works in accounting at filu. She is a trained paralegal with additional training in payroll and balance sheet accounting. Aline was a specialist in the field of physiotherapy and is a lecturer for continuing education to become a health care specialist. At filu, she manages everything related to our clinic. To get energy, she swings onto her horse's back.

Julie is a proud cat mom to Gabriel, a Norwegian Forest Cat, and Lilith, a European Shorthair—both blind—who sparked her passion for cats. In addition to her work at filu, where she ensures the smooth operation of daily practice routines, she is training to become a feline behavior consultant and participates in a variety of topic-related webinars. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, and exploring the history of language.

Sophia completed her training in Leipzig and worked there, among other things, at an animal shelter and in a wildlife station. In addition to station work in the laboratory, her focus is on registration and communication. In her free time, she is interested in faith and the Bible, the ancient world and history. She enjoys nature, reading and playing video games. Sophia grew up with Labradors and has a tomcat named Friedel.

Tonia completed her training in a veterinary clinic. Before training, she spent four months in South and Central America, worked at an animal shelter in Costa Rica and lived there in a tree house in the jungle. She originally comes from Lake Constance and has been an animal enthusiast since childhood. She is interested in dog psychology and training, enjoys cooking, enjoying nature and practicing yoga in her spare time.

Manuel is product lead at filu and responsible for creating great digital experiences for pet parents and filu employees. He's a jack of all trades, curious, and loves to learn everything there is to know about the most random topics. He enjoys nature and spending time outside, for example training his Labrador.

Maly completed her TFA training in a large and small animal practice in 2022. In addition, she is currently training as a dog trainer so that she can apply these skills to filu later on. In her free time, she does agility with her border collie dog Flame and takes part in tournaments. She also likes hiking with her dog and friends and likes to draw in her free time.

Even as a small child, Chiara always wanted to become a vet. However, after graduating from high school, she initially decided to study as a teacher. She quickly realized that she wasn't happy in this role and decided to train in veterinary medicine, which eventually led her to filu. In her free time, Chiara likes to spend time with her dog and horses. She is passionate about eventing and hunting riding and has even bred foals. Far away from animals, she loves traveling and learning new languages.

Since childhood, Kerstin has always had animals around her and grew up with them. In the past, she always wanted to be a marine biologist until she realized that swimming with dolphins wasn't just about swimming with dolphins. After completing her training as a TFA, especially in surgery, she worked as an all-rounder in a cat practice. In her free time, Kerstin is very fond of sports and loves going to the gym, hiking and jogging. To switch off, she likes to spend time in nature. Although she has two cats, she left them with her parents so that they can play in the garden.

Mareike is originally from Frankfurt, studied in Gießen, and spent the past five years working at a practice in Tyrol. Her specialties are surgery and dental treatments. In her free time, Mareike loves being outdoors: whether hiking, mountaineering, or skiing – the mountains are her second home. Her two cats, Bu and Miezi, are her constant companions and bring her joy outside of work as well. She also enjoys jogging, practicing yoga, and taking walks in nature.

Laura completed her training in a larger group practice, where she met cat Lutz, whom she raised with the bottle, and later followed cat Käthe from the animal shelter. She gained 2.5 years of experience in a clinic with a focus on emergency and night services, ward and trainee management. Laura is known for her great empathy and likes to spend her free time with her horse Rüdiger, hiking and on the North Sea.

Alexandra completed her training in a group practice and then worked for 7 years in a larger veterinary clinic, where she specialized in night and emergency services as well as treatment and registration. Her Birman cat Monty, whom she took over from the hospital two years ago, is now healthy. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, spending time in nature, reading a lot and traveling to different countries to discover new places. She loves eating out and trying out new restaurants. She has always been a soccer fan and her favorite club is Bayern Munich.

Emanoela has already gained experience in a veterinary clinic. In her free time, she likes to be out in nature with her Yorkshire terrier dog Aki and likes to travel to her home country Bulgaria.

Nina has gained extensive experience in internal medicine as a veterinarian in clinics & practices and is particularly interested in dermatology. She is also a chiropractor for horses & dogs, which she also likes to use on her own dog Nacho.

Valentin began his professional career in a surgical practice before joining filu through an internship and now working here as an apprentice. After completing his training, he plans to study veterinary medicine. In his free time, he is a passionate sportsman, likes to play soccer and skiing in winter. He enjoys spending time in nature and occasionally looks after dogs from the neighborhood.

Robin completed her training at a Cologne Veterinary Clinic, where she specializes in dog care and emergency services. She has worked as a TFA at Filu in Düsseldorf since July 2024. She spends her free time with her three favorite animals — dogs, rats and ponies — and attaches great importance to animal welfare and animal welfare. She likes to gamble and binge to relax.

Laura completed her training as a veterinary assistant in Düsseldorf. In addition to her passion for working at filu in the preventive care and surgery units, she lovingly takes care of her two cats, Enzo and Mailo, as well as her Labrador, Rio. As a half-Spanish woman, she is particularly drawn to the beaches of Andalusia. In her free time, she works out at the gym, explores new restaurants and places, walks with Rio and Grows Fruit and Vegetables at her balcony.

Rosanna studies business psychology with a focus on personnel psychology as well as market, advertising and media psychology. In her free time, she enjoys nature with her horse Fidell and her dog Anton. She likes to travel and is active in outdoor sports, being it hiking, climbing, skiing or kayaking. Rosanna is also very passionate about art and loves painting, drawing and photography.

Denise is a tax specialist and accountant with experience in tax firms, most recently specialized in accounting and annual financial statements for startups. In addition to her husband and children, her family includes her dogs Emma and Trudi, four cats (Fritz, Nala, Marie and Cookie) and three axolotls. In her free time, Denise loves walking, cycling, yoga, books, concerts and traveling — always with Emma and Trudi by her side, of course.

Stefanie graduated in Munich in 2019 and then worked in practice and clinic for a good 3.5 years. Before joining filu, she worked at a veterinary practice in the Caribbean to help with a volunteer project. In her free time, Stefanie loves traveling and experiencing new adventures, reading a lot and exploring the hidden corners of Munich.

Kateryna is originally from Ukraine and worked there in call centers and as an accountant, where she was the first point of contact for customers. Her tomcat Mursih is the main person in the family. Kateryna loves long walks with her son and enjoys spending her free time at the gym, swimming, and traveling.

Laura brings practical experience from veterinary clinics and practices to Filu. Her hobbies include hiking and salsa dancing. She also grew up with cats.

Hatem is a passionate product designer with four years of experience, including one year in the health-tech sector. His goal is to create the best user experience through creative storytelling, user research and appealing designs and to make users' lives noticeably easier. In his free time, he expresses his creativity through photography, drawing and video games and likes to build with Lego. He doesn't have any pets, but dogsitting is a lot of fun for him!

Robert's veterinary career began with training as a veterinary assistant (TFA). During his studies, he also worked with horses and cattle, but his true passion lies with dogs and cats. As a veterinarian, he gained several years of experience at a university and an animal clinic, completed an internship, and began his specialization as a board-certified small animal veterinarian. In his free time, Robert finds balance by playing basketball and frequently exploring the Rhine or the forest.

Anja grew up on a small Baltic Sea island, surrounded by nature and animals. After six years as owner of a vegan café in Hamburg, she is now fully dedicated to customer service at filu. As a freelance animal communicator, Anja's passion is also to give animals a voice. She loves yoga and Pilates and likes to spend her free time with her dog Maya at the seaside or on hikes in the mountains.

Beatrice grew up in Lower Saxony and supports filu in service — as a trained cat psychologist, she focuses in particular on the well-being of cats in the sense of a cat-friendly practice. In her free time, she likes to travel with her cat Lazy and her partner, travel in a motorhome through Finland's endless nature or relax comfortably on the sofa playing series and video games.

Daline is a true animal lover and lives in the countryside with her partner, two cats, a dog, and soon a little puppy. In her free time, she enjoys reading and immersing herself in the world of anime. She especially appreciates the peaceful nature around the village during long walks. She values the little things in life and finds balance between cozy moments at home and being active outdoors.

Tilda has already completed an apprenticeship as a tourism clerk. But now she finally wants to pursue her true passion and is training as a veterinary assistant in Hamburg-Winterhude. With her adopted Labrador dog Elli, Tilda starts hikes or trails — preferably in the mountains. The rest of the time she is passionate about playing basketball.

Linda attaches great importance to patients and owners leaving the practice satisfied and happy to return. In her free time, she hikes in the mountains with her mixed-breed dog Carlotta and trains for Canicross with her. You can also meet them while stand-up paddling or having a coffee with friends. As a true Munich child, she feels most comfortable on the outskirts of town or in the countryside, not too far away from family and friends.

Katrin is particularly passionate about surgery in her professional life. In her free time, she enjoys staying active—whether it's cycling on her racing bike, practicing yoga, or swimming. She also loves traveling in her camper van, whether to the mountains or the sea.

Clara always wanted to work in which she could help animals and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine and the profession of TFA in 2020 at a veterinary clinic in Duisburg. She has gained valuable experience, particularly in the area of anesthesia, and has found pleasure in applying various types of bandages every day. Growing up with dogs, she loves her two Hovawart hybrids more than anything else. In her free time, she has been playing hockey since she was a child.

Julia brings experience from two different veterinary clinics to filu. In her free time, she enjoys walks with her dog Ella. She also loves the mountains and everything that goes with them, such as skiing and hiking.

Milana brings a wealth of experience from her own startup journey, during which she built a tech startup focused on organizing family and friends as well as gift discovery. Previously, she worked in politics, strategic communications, and business development. She’s now excited to continue pursuing her passion for startups with Filu. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going on day trips and short getaways, and embracing the mountains along with everything related to skiing, tennis, and chess.

Fabian comes from the upscale hotel and catering industry and has worked as a bartender and sommelier. During his studies and during the pandemic, he discovered his interest in marketing, with a focus on search engine marketing. In his free time, he devotes himself to everything related to pleasure — cooking, good food, wine and traveling. His loyal companion is Jack Russell mongrel Carlos, 10 years old.

Laura, born and raised in Cologne, initially began her training at an equine clinic before transitioning to small animal care. Since completing her training, she has gained over 1.5 years of experience in orthopedics and has passionately specialized in her favorite fields: surgery and laboratory work. In her private life, much revolves around her two dogs, with whom she participates in dog sports in the IGP sector. Additionally, she shares her passion for cars with just as much energy and dedication!

Silke is originally from East Frisia and enjoys reliving childhood memories during visits to her hometown. In her free time, she often plays (table) tennis and enjoys photography, meeting up with friends, going for walks with their dogs, or simply relaxing on the sofa. Thanks to her wonderful circle of friends, she also feels right at home in Hamburg.

Marian studied veterinary medicine in Sofia, where he also worked in two clinics. He has been living in Düsseldorf since 2012 and has worked in various practices. His main areas of expertise are ophthalmology, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and traveling—always with his camera in tow, as photography is his great passion.

Amelie is originally from Swabia and completed her training as a veterinary assistant (TFA) in a small animal practice in 2024. Before that, she worked as an orchestral musician before turning her passion for animals into a profession. She has a particular interest in surgery and pharmacy. Her favorite tasks include treating animals, assisting in surgeries, and managing the pharmacy. She also cares deeply about advising pet owners. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, making music, going to the gym, and spending time with her one-eyed cat, Nero.

Laura holds a degree in childhood education and spent 3.5 years working with children with special needs at a school. In the future, she plans to train as a dog trainer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring nature with her dog Casper, doing mantrailing, and staying active with regular exercise.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Adrian brings his fullstack expertise to the filu team. When he’s not writing code, he channels his creativity through gaming and photography. His wide range of interests spans music, film, science, and nature conservation. At home, he’s kept on his toes by his three cats – Elli, Loui, and Marta.

Anna-Lena is a qualified veterinary assistant with an additional certification as a hygiene officer and has been studying veterinary medicine since 2024. At filu, she works as a working student and is especially passionate about emergency medicine, surgical assistance, and customer interaction. In her free time, she enjoys forest walks with her mixed-breed dog Bella or relaxing at home with her cat Simba.

Lea grew up in Hamburg and fulfilled her dream of owning a dog with her Cane Corso male, Vito. She enjoys spending time with Vito during dog training and loves being outdoors in nature. In the summer, she often visits a campsite on the Baltic Sea, soaking up the sun to the fullest.

Lena ist in Hamburg aufgewachsen und lebt am grünen Stadtrand der Hafenstadt. Nach ihrer Ausbildung in einer Pferde- und Kleintierpraxis spezialisierte sie sich in einer Kleintierpraxis auf den OP-Bereich. Ihre Freizeit verbringt sie am liebsten mit ihrer Labradorhündin Raya bei Spaziergängen an der Elbe oder im Wald – oder entspannt zusammen auf der Couch mit einer guten Serie.

Adina is a veterinary medicine student in her 7th semester and works as a medical working student at filu. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, exploring creative hobbies like sewing and drawing, or going backpacking when time permits. She has not yet decided on a specific field in veterinary medicine but is particularly interested in small animals and exotic species

Andrea brings a diverse background in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry as a trained medical assistant and has completed further training as a psychological systemic coach and feel-good manager. Her Bichon Frisé dog, Timba, has been by her side for 8 years and has introduced her to the world of animal communication. In her free time, she meditates, practices QiGong, reads, and enjoys nature with Timba. She is particularly passionate about topics like spirituality and personal development.

Julia is a veterinary medicine student with a special interest in dentistry. Before her studies, she gained experience at a wildlife rescue center. She is a lover of Japan and a big fan of cats, especially black cats, and lives with her three cats: Neko, Kuro, and Minou. Julia enjoys nature, loves going for walks or hikes, and enjoys spending time with other people.

Jannes is the Swiss Army knife of organizational development and strengthens filu as Operational Excellence Lead. A true East Frisian at heart, he has a passion for black tea, Kluntje (rock sugar), and licorice. For him, there’s no such thing as bad weather – only the wrong clothing – which is why he loves being out and about in any conditions, whether on horseback or on his surfboard.

Charlotte, who switched to veterinary medicine after a short trip to human medicine, lives her job as a vet with great passion. She has gained both clinical and practical experience and focuses on acupuncture and ultrasound. Charlotte loves learning languages and traveling to other countries to broaden her horizons. In her free time, she enjoys precious moments with her family and is a staunch lover of both cats and dogs.

Melina has been studying veterinary medicine at LMU since 2019 and has completed internships primarily in small animal medicine, including placements in Australia and at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding or ski touring in the winter, traveling, kitesurfing, strength training, and jogging. She shares her home with her 17-year-old cat, Sunny.

Daniel is originally from Cologne, spent six years working as a horse groom, and is now a trained veterinary assistant (TFA). He lives with a dog and a cat and has a special interest in reptiles – both as patients and potentially as future pets. His main focus is on laboratory work, but he remains open to all areas of the profession. Empathy and a good sense of humor define his approach to working with both people and animals.

Luisa is a dedicated veterinary assistant (TFA) with experience in clinics, small animal centers, and private practices. Her passion for animals shines through both professionally and personally – she lives with two cats and actively supports animal welfare as a foster caregiver. Outside of work, she’s a passionate bodybuilder, a hobby that reflects her discipline and commitment in her professional life as well. Luisa is continuously developing her skills and enjoys taking on new challenges.

Daniel aims to build trust between animals, owners, and veterinarians to provide the best possible care for pets. During his studies, he gained practical experience in small animal practices as well as through an internship at a wildlife rescue center in Guatemala. Professionally, he is open to new perspectives, with a particular interest in surgery and internal medicine. In his free time, he practices yoga and meditation, plays the piano and guitar, enjoys spending time in nature, bouldering, and going to concerts.

Felicia worked as a student assistant during her studies in Leipzig and Zurich and later gained further clinical experience in various animal welfare projects abroad. After completing her studies, she worked in a large veterinary clinic and was able to successfully complete her continuing education as a specialist veterinarian for small animals in 2023. Since August, she has also been completing GPCert Neurology training. Her professional focus is on emergency medicine, surgery and neurology. In her free time, she enjoys being creative, playing in an orchestra, spending time outside with her dog and family, dancing standard, diving and snowboarding.

Doris, a native of Düsseldorf, studied veterinary medicine in Gießen and previously worked in a mixed practice as well as in pathology at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover. For the past 15 years, she has focused on human health, helping companies make essential medications available to patients. In her free time, she loves dancing, unwinds with yoga alongside her cat Luise, or explores the world with her husband and their old camper van.

Stefan ist gelernter Bürokaufmann und ausgebildeter Hundetrainer. Er war mehrere Jahre selbstständig in der Hundebetreuung und arbeitete 3,5 Jahre in einer Tierklinik auf Station und in der Ambulanz. In seiner Freizeit ist er leidenschaftlicher 1860-München-Fan und zockt gerne. Aktuell hat er keine Haustiere mehr, nachdem er seinen 14-jährigen Beagle Charlie letztes Jahr schweren Herzens verabschieden musste- Charlie war Stefans große Motivation für die Arbeit mit Tieren und er wird ihn immer in guter Erinnerung behalten.

Josephine completed her training as a veterinary assistant (TFA) in 2023 at a small animal practice in Nuremberg and then worked at an animal clinic in Cologne. At filu, her focus areas include treatments, emergency care, and inpatient care. She plans to pursue further training in physiotherapy and naturopathy for dogs and cats. In her personal life, she enjoys staying active, loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and is always accompanied by her cat Loca.

Nathalie is a trained medical assistant (MFA) and brings valuable experience from human medicine. She has already worked as a practice manager and in the management of a large dental clinic. Having grown up with cats, she is a true animal lover – her own cat, Sydney, is named after her second home, Australia, where she lived for a year. Her professional journey has also taken her to London and Bulgaria. In her free time, she is passionate about traveling, discovering new places and cultures, and spending time with her friends from around the world.

Marco spent much of his childhood with his grandparents – surrounded by dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and around 700 racing pigeons, which shaped his deep love for animals to this day. He has been working in customer service for 20 years and feels most at home in that environment. At filu, he now brings together his two greatest passions: animals and service.

Yannik is part of the filu engineering team as a fullstack developer with a focus on frontend development. He lives in Hanover with his two Cocker Spaniels, Karl and Rudi. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, tinkering with smart home devices and his home server. Yannik is also an avid reader, especially of classics – he's a member of two book clubs.

Martyna is a physiotherapist and osteopath for dogs, cats and horses, although cattle, koi carp and other animals occasionally come to her mobile practice in and around Hamburg. She is also a lecturer in physiotherapy and osteotherapy and is a trained human occupational therapist. In her free time, she likes to ride horses or enjoy forest and beach walks with her Jack Russell Terrier Nigel. At filu she works as a practice manager.

Lukas has a strong passion for Linux, container technologies, and enthusiastically self-hosts open-source projects in his free time. He enjoys traveling, especially to the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. In addition to his love for technology, he’s interested in dioramas, nature, and architecture – particularly Brutalism – and enjoys expressing these interests through drawing.

Fanny was born in the Pfalz (Palatinate) and grew up in a small village surrounded by nature—and limited bus connections. Through her training as an animal-assisted therapist, she found her way from speech therapy to veterinary medicine. Today, as a practice manager, she ensures that everyday operations run as smoothly as possible for both humans and animals. Her experience in emergency services helps her stay calm and keep an overview, even in hectic moments. Her rescue dog Topolino accompanies her through life whenever possible. She’s currently converting her camper van, Ingo, for upcoming adventures.

Emmy completed her studies in 2024 and already has experience from a veterinary clinic, a feed company and working student work at filu. At filu, she is now starting her professional career as a vet and would like to specialize in nutrition in the future. In her free time, she surfs on Munich Eisbach, practices yoga and goes for a walk with her Labrador pensioner Lilly.

Marie is originally from Cologne and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. She gained practical experience at a small animal practice in Düsseldorf and has been working as a veterinarian at Filu since April 2025. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time in nature – especially hiking.

Luca is from Hamburg and lives in St. Pauli. Even without having a pet of her own, she found her way into veterinary medicine – with a particular interest in surgery. In her free time, she loves traveling in her camper van or relaxing in a hammock, whether in the mountains or by the sea.

venja entdeckte nach dem Tiermedizinstudium in Leipzig schnell ihre Begeisterung dafür, Tiermedizin und Kommunikation zu verbinden. Heute gestaltet sie das Employer Branding bei filu mit und bringt ihre Erfahrung aus Marketing und Studium ein. Mit kreativen Einblicken aus dem Praxisalltag stärkt sie die Verbindung zur filu Community – immer dem Leitsatz „Happy Vets, Happy Pets“ folgend und mit dem Ziel, moderne, wertschätzende Arbeitswelten zu schaffen. In ihrer Freizeit ist sie gerne auf dem Rücken von Pferden, mit dem Rucksack in der Ferne oder in den Bergen unterwegs.

Verena worked as a TFA in a veterinary clinic for many years and is our “laboratory star” at filu. In her free time, she regularly travels by bus to explore the world.

Merlin comes from sunny Karlsruhe and completed his bachelor's degree at KIT before switching to TUM for his master's degree. He has had quite a few animal housemates - from geckos and tortoises to his faithful Goldendoodle, who has been with him for 14 years. His great passion is cycling. Merlin is particularly enthusiastic about the startup world - he has already worked as a Founder Associate in a startup - at filu he is a working student in Venture Development with a lot of curiosity and drive.

Before starting her veterinary studies, Ann-Sophie worked in human medicine as a medical technologist for radiology (MTR). She has already gained experience in a small animal center – particularly in CT/MRI diagnostics, which aligns perfectly with her previous training. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, discovering new cafés, and traveling to distant countries to explore nature and different cultures.

Benny brings experience in founding, scaling, carve-outs, and financing. His professional focus areas include (re)structuring accounting, financial modeling, and controlling. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis or spending time in the mountains.
